Reds ball boy Abe Hils does Jamie Tartt celebration, chats with Votto in broadcast booth

It was six years to the day since Abe Hils of Fort Thomas came up with a Joey Votto home run ball at Great American Ball Park.

On Tuesday night during the second game of the Reds-Pirates doubleheader at GABP, Hils was serving as ball boy/fielder as he made an impressive catch of a ball lined foul of the first-base line toward the crowd. Hils celebrated by doing what Jamie Tartt - a character from "Ted Lasso" on Apple TV+ - would do after scoring a goal, just as Votto did in celebrating home runs last season.

Bally Sports Ohio's Jim Day went down to interview Hils later in the broadcast. Hils shared praise of Votto, who was in the broadcast booth with John Sadak and Barry Larkin for the entire game. Votto - in the hilarious way only Votto could - suggested that Day should trade places with Hils, who impressed Votto with his way with words.
