Ree Drummond Fangirling Over Ina Garten Is SO Relatable
Are Ree Drummond and Ina Garten about to become BFFs? While chatting with Fox News earlier this week, The Pioneer Woman basically invited fellow Food Network star Ina to her ranch.
"If I had to pick one, it would be tough," Ree admitted when asked about who she'd want to cook alongside: "But my longtime love is Ina Garten. I've loved her since she started her show." That little show she's talking about, The Barefoot Contessa? Well, it premiered in 2002 and is currently airing its 26th (!) season. So, yeah, when Ree says "longtime," she means it.
The Oklahoma native also revealed she "absolutely loves" Food Network Star winner Eddie Jackson.
"I’ll cook with anyone as long as they’re willing to come to me!" she continued, which sounds like an open invitation to me. Like, brb, booking a flight to Pawhuska as we speak. SHE SAID ANYONE!
Still, the potential collab with Ina really doesn't seem that farfetched. They're both Food Network stars slash cooking goddesses. It's also not the first time Ree has extended this type of offer. All the way back in 2010, Bobby Flay joined her for a special Thanksgiving Throwdown episode. "I just wanted [him] to come to the ranch and cook for me and I figured this was probably the only way that would happen," she wrote on her blog.
Though Ree called Bobby a "genuinely nice person," she didn't hold back when it came time for the competition. And after prepping a feast for 50, she was crowned champ. She did have home court advantage, after all .
Now if we can just make that Ina Garten and Ree Drummond friendship happen, my life would be complete.
