Ree and the Ladies in Her Life Share Their Favorite Purses
Every woman has her go-to purse—the one that already has everything you need in it and is always ready to go when you’re about to head out of the house—and Ree Drummond is no different. Ree's favorite purse has been her go-to for years, which made her wonder: What do the other women in her life like to tote around? So she asked her mom, sister, and daughters to share their No. 1 bags, plus some cute alternative options to shop as well.
When it comes to what Ree looks for in a go-to bag, the most important thing is that her bag is flexible. It has to fit in with her busy life on the ranch and also look good in a fancier setting (plus hold all of her favorite makeup). “I need a bag that works with my ranch lifestyle but is still dressy enough to take to Tulsa,” Ree says.
When it boils down to what qualities make a go-to bag, each gal has a different style and reason for loving what they love. But what all these bags have is common is that they are functional and fashionable (and would look cute paired with a floral dress or casual leggings outfit)! “I love a semi-boho leather bag with a bit of structure and style. Rebecca Minkoff is wonderful—I have her tote in three colors," Ree says.
Paige, Ree's younger daughter, has a busy college life at the University of Arkansas. Between going to classes, being involved in her sorority, and catching up with friends she's got her plate full. Having a bag that goes with everything is super important to her, so it's no wonder she picked a classic brown tote as her go-to!
“This bag is perfect for everyday life. I can fit all of my necessities in it—and it goes with every outfit! It’s simple and elegant,” Paige says.
Ree's mom Gerre moved back to Oklahoma last year. So it's perfectly fitting that her pick can be purchased right at The Mercantile, Ree's shop. While she opted for this cute red color, this purse comes in a range of vibrant hues that are ideal for the spring and summer months.

Alex, Ree's oldest child, has had a pretty eventful year. She helped her mom film her Food Network show at home and she also is getting married! Her go-to bag absolutely has to have room for all of her essentials and still be super cute.
“I’m a huge fan of big tote bags that I can throw all of things into—and this one is so fun! I love the unique paint-splatter print," Alex says.
Ree's sister Betsy is a mom on the go! It's no surprise that her pick is a practical-yet-ultra-sophisticated backpack. It's everything a busy mom could ever need.
