Well, we now have further proof that Reese Witherspoon and 20-year-old daughter Ava Phillippe are more or less identical (not that we needed it). Witherspoon posted a photo of herself to Instagram recovering from being sick (feel better, Reese!), and she looks more like her daughter than ever. Phillippe’s cheeky comment on her mom’s pic confirmed why: Witherspoon borrowed her daughter’s hoodie for the day. Sneaky!
In Witherspoon’s photo, she’s lying back on the couch with her bulldog Lou, her French Bulldog Pepper, and her 7-year-old son Tennessee James Toth. She’s wearing a pink and blue tie dyed hoodie and clutching a mug of tea while Tennessee wraps his arm around Lou. “Is this how you cure a sinus infection?” the Legally Blonde star writes. “🍵🤒 #sickday.”

Phillippe was quick to comment on her mom-slash-BFF’s post: “hope my hoodie is keeping you warm haha 💕.” Since Phillippe and Witherspoon are so, so similar looking, we bet they borrow each other’s clothes all the time and both look equally fabulous in them. (Plus, we’re sure Witherspoon has some pretty fabulous duds for Phillippe to borrow.)
“Your clothes always make me feel better 😂,” Witherspoon wrote back to her daughter. Aw! It’s true, certain items of clothing are just way more comforting than others, and it’s usually because they belong to someone you love.
Nice to see the whole Witherspoon family rallying around Reese for her sick day: her dogs, her son, and of course, her doppelgänger daughter Ava Phillippe.
