Reese's Is Selling Its Largest Peanut Butter Cup Ever and It's the Size of a Pie
Americans tend to disagree over which pie is most fitting for Thanksgiving. My family always had pumpkin pie, but last year, an analysis of Instagram data suggested that cranberry, sweet potato, cherry, pecan, blueberry, strawberry, and apple were all popular options as well.
But this year, Reese's wants people to forget every pie out there: In fact, they kind of want you to forget about what constitutes a "pie" at all. The confection specialist is releasing a limited number of massive 9-inch diameter peanut butter cups and billing them as the Reese's Thanksgiving Pie.

Described as "the largest Reese's Peanut Butter Cup ever for sale," these pie-size cups are still a peanut butter cup through and through, made with just chocolate and peanut butter, but weighing in at 3.4 pounds. Probably needless to say, Reese's says that's also the most chocolate and peanut butter they've ever packed into a cup before. (Not to be confused with the time Reese's broke the world record for "largest nut bar" to troll Snickers.)
"When you bring together friends and family for Thanksgiving dinner, no table spread is complete without dessert," Bo Jones, senior associate brand manager at Reese's, said in the announcement. "At Reese's, we wanted to create a dessert that everyone wants a piece of. You can thank us later."

But getting your hands on one of these cups won't be easy. The $44.99 pie cups are only available on the Hershey website — and only 3,000 are being sold.

"The holidays are stressful, but winning Thanksgiving doesn't have to be," Reese's states to end its announcement — which is actually a horrible tease: You've just made everyone's holiday a lot more stressful by figuring out how we're going to get one of these massive cups without resorting to paying $10,000 for one on eBay!
