Apple stuck to script on Tuesday and focused entirely on its new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c smartphones, which will finally debut next week after months of leaks. It also announced that its completely renovated mobile operating system iOS 7 will be released to the public next Wednesday, September 18th. While Apple didn’t say anything during its press conference, the company will reportedly also release a new software update for its Apple TV set-top box on the same day, according to AllThingsD. The only new feature covered in the blog’s report is the ability to stream content purchased from any iTunes account on Apple TV devices straight from the cloud, regardless of whether the content owner is also the owner of the Apple TV box. So rather than have to stream purchases from an iPhone or iPad to a friend’s Apple TV, for example, users will be able to stream directly from the cloud to the box. It’s not exactly groundbreaking, but users can expect to get their hands on this new feature next Wednesday.
