Refrigerant leak prompts evacuation of Franklin grocery store

Hazmat crews responded to a grocery store in Franklin on Monday morning, prompting an evacuation, according to fire officials.

The Franklin Fire Department says there was an isolated refrigerant leak at the Stop and Shop on Franklin Village Drive. Hazmat crews are on scene assisting.

Authorities evacuated the building as a precaution. The Stop and Shop is now reopened and crews have cleared the scene.

There were no reports of any injuries.
