Refugio's Jordan Kelley named first team All-State by TSWA in Class 2A

Refugio senior Jordan Kelley was a first-team selection at second base on the Blue Bell Texas Sports Writers Association Class 2A all-state team, announced Tuesday.

Kelley, who also pitched for the Bobcats, hit .514 in his final season which included 10 doubles, five triples, 18 stolen bases and 23 RBI. On the mound, Kelley went 8-3 with a 1.51 ERA and struck out 114 batters in 69.2 innings.

Kelley signed a letter of intent to play college football at Columbia University in New York in February.

Shiner's Ryan Peterson was named player of the year in Class 2A.
