Regal will have $2 family movies at theaters this summer

The Regal movie theater chain has announced the return of its 2022 Regal Summer Movie Express series, where tickets to see children’s movies are just $2 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Other theater chains such as AMC and CMX Cinemas (formerly Cobb Theatres) also have done cheap summer family movie series in the past, but they have not yet announced if they will be doing them this summer.

Regal will feature kid favorites such as “Despicable Me” and “The Lego Movie” for $2 on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. The theater says availability varies by location, so check participating theaters for schedules. Tampa Bay area Regal theaters include Regal Park Place & RPX in Pinellas Park, Regal Citrus Park in Tampa, Regal at the Largo Mall and Regal Hollywood in Port Richey.

The movie schedule runs now through the end of August.
