The Regal Barn Plaza on Easton Road, a longtime staple for Central Bucks County movie goers, is set to close.

The Doylestown location is one of 39 theaters nationwide that Regal will close this year, according to a report in Business Insider. The country's second largest theater owner, behind only AMC which also has locations in Bucks, will also close Oaks Stadium theater in Montgomery County.

The Regal at the Oxford Valley Mall in Middletown and the locations in Warrington. A location in Quakertown was previously closed.

The Barn Plaza shopping center is also home to Kohl’s, Starbucks, Harmon Face Values, Pure Barre, Piccolo Trattoria, Gerhard’s Appliances, Tower Health Urgent Care and Applebee's, among other shops. A Whole Foods is also set to open there.

The announcement of the closure comes Regal owner, Cineworld, announced it was filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy late last year.

Cineworld detailed the plan to reject the leases starting February 15 in a new bankruptcy filing on Tuesday, Business Insider reported. Regal has over over 500 theaters across the country.
