Topeka’s Regal Hollywood theaters, 6200 S.W. 6th Ave., is saying its farewell to the big screens.

Regal Hollywood’s final business day will be Thursday, the site's manager said. Doors will be locked Friday to the theater.

Two movie theaters will remain in the capital city — B&B Theatres Topeka Wheatfield 9, 2829 S.W. Fairlawn Road, and Regal West Ridge, 1727 S.W. Wanamaker Road. Customers can continue to use Regal gift cards at the West Ridge location.

The Regal Hollywood theater was appraised in 2022 at $4,570,030.
