Feb. 23—One week ago, Hunt County residents were waking up to find snow and ice on the ground and a temperature below zero.

Today, the National Weather Service forecast is calling for sunny conditions with a high in the upper 70s and south southwest wind gusts as high as 25 mph.

There should be increasing clouds tonight with a low around 54. Good chances for showers and possibly a thunderstorm arrive in the region Thursday.
