Regional artists collect awards at AU’s Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition

ASHLAND − Eleven awards from the 2023 Juried Student Art + Design Exhibition at Ashland University went to regional student artists, as announced by Cynthia Petry, director of AU’s Coburn Gallery. The exhibition runs through Friday.

More than $1,000 was distributed to the winners across a variety of categories. The People’s Choice award was announced on the Coburn Gallery’s Facebook page Monday.

The exhibition features 82 works selected by outside juror Emily Bartolone, a contemporary painter from Canton. She is the curator of the Malone Art Gallery at Malone University.
