BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County have launched their summer jobs and career launch programs, with registration open now for high schoolers.
Officials say the programs are a partnership with Bank of America, the Taco Bell Foundation and US Bank, and bring the benefits of job training to youth and businesses in Kern County.
Applications must be submitted for the program by Feb. 16. Orientation is Feb. 22, according to organizers.
Program Coordinator Ruth Miranda joined 17 News at Noon to talk more about what people can expect from the programs. Watch the video in the player for more details.
