2023 Summer Enrichment Camp

Barbie Summer Camp

Camp will be Barbie-themed. Activities include tumbling, cheer, gymnastics, dance, games and crafts. Life lessons on confidence building and following dreams will be incorporated. Send lunch and snack or snack money.

Campers staying all day can be dropped off any time starting at 7:45 a.m. Students will have a less structured morning until classes start at 1 p.m. They must bring their own lunch. Students who are only staying for class should arrive at 12:30 p.m.
Jane in June Camp
Where: Kent Plantation House, 3601 Bayou Rapides Rd, Alexandria
When: June 26-30
Time: 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
For girls ages 8-12. Limited to 24 campers. The young ladies will complete art projects, attend and host tea parties, learn social etiquette, journal, play games and the pastimes of Jane Austen's era. They will learn to set and serve a proper table, tour the Kent House and create a lifetime of memories. Camp includes lunch, snacks and supplies.

Buddy Camp 2023
Where: First United Methodist Alexandria, 2727 Jackson Street
When: 8 a.m.–2 p.m., June 5–9, 8 a.m.–2 p.m.; 8 a.m.–2 p.m., July 24–28.

Buddy Camp brings children ages 5-11, both with and without developmental challenges, together to participate in a week long summer day camp program. Children must have completed Kindergarten. Limited enrollment. Applications are accepted on a first come, first served, first match basis.
The goal is to bring together children of all abilities by placing them in Buddy Pairs, where the same two buddies will share quality, structured camp activities throughout the week as they learn more about each other and develop friendships, healthy behaviors, and Christian attitudes.
Teen Buddy Camp
When: June 26–30
Time: 2:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Teen Buddy Camp is for ages 12-19, both with and without special needs. Activities will take place on the church campus and off-campus.
