Regular season and playoff top performers: Tyler Burke scores twince in Atlantic’s win over Boca Raton

Coming off a loss to TRU Prep Academy, Tyler Burke led Atlantic to a big win over a southern Palm Beach County rival.

The senior wide receiver and running back had 85 rushing yards and 105 receiving yards in the Eagles' 47-12 win over Boca Raton. He scored a pair of touchdowns — rushing for a 53-yard touchdown and scoring on 63-yard touchdown reception.

Here are some more top performers in Broward and Palm Beach County high school football from last week:

Brody Palhegyi 5/8 Cardinal Gibbons

Palhegyi completed 15 of 22 passes for 212 yards and three touchdowns as the Chiefs beat Clewiston 37-7 in a playoff showdown. Palhegyi also added a rushing touchdown.

Ryan Anthony 5/8 Wellington

The sophomore quarterback was 15 for 23 for 310 yards and three touchdowns in the Wolverines' 26-13 victory over Santaluces.

Jesse Anderson 5/8 Cardinal Gibbons

Anderson, a sophomore wide receiver, had two catches for 51 yards, rushed for 28 yards and blocked a punt that Isaiah Farris returned for a touchdown.

Reece Larson 5/8 Wellington

The junior wide receiver hauled in six catches for 166 yards and two scores in Wellington’s win.

Troy Stellato 5/8 Cardinal Gibbons

Stellato, a four-star Clemson commit and Super 11 pick, had three catches for 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Cardinal Gibbons beat Clewiston by 30.

Johan Henry 5/8 Wellington

The senior wide receiver and linebacker had two catches for 56 yards on offense and added eight tackles, three tackles for loss and an interception.

Jerell Mash Jr. 5/8 Monarch

Mash, a junior running back, rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries as the Knights beat Coral Springs 28-14.

Emonte Brown 5/8 Jupiter

The sophomore running back had 17 carries for 150 yards and two touchdowns in Jupiter’s 35-28 win over Palm Beach Gardens.

Donnell Johnson 5/8 Flanagan

Johnson, a junior defensive lineman, had six tackles, three tackles for loss and was credited with half a sack in the Falcons' 32-23 loss to Everglades. He also blocked an extra point.

Monthaj Joseph 5/8 Atlantic

The senior running back accounted for 125 yards rushing and 25 yards receiving in the Eagles' 47-12 win over Boca Raton.

Jerry Dinkins III 5/8 American Heritage

Dinkins, a sophomore running back, carried the ball three times for 67 yards and two touchdowns in the Patriots' 49-0 playoff win over Melbourne Palm Bay.

Nygil Shannon 5/8 Atlantic

The senior middle linebacker had 12 tackles, including three for tackles for loss and added a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the Eagles' win.

Marvin Jones Jr. 5/8 American Heritage

Jones, a four-star defensive end, had six tackles, three tackles for loss and two sacks as the Patriots shut out Palm Bay.

Tre’Von Taylor 5/8 Dwyer

The junior quarterback completed eight of 11 passes for 185 yards and four touchdowns. He also had six rushes for 15 yards and a touchdown in Dwyer’s 43-0 win against his former team, Palm Beach Lakes.

David Vadala 5/8 American Heritage

Vadala, a sophomore linebacker, had seven tackles, two tackles for loss, recovered a fumble and scored in American Heritage’s playoff win.

Xavier Scott 5/8 Dwyer

The junior athlete had three rushes for 24 yards and added four catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns in a 43-0 win over Lakes.

Terrell Taylor 5/8 Coral Springs Charter

Taylor, a senior running back, ran for 171 yards and three touchdowns in Coral Springs Charter’s 42-27 win over Cypress Bay.

Elijah Hopkins 5/8 Dwyer

The sophomore wide receiver and defensive back had three catches for 75 yards and two scores and added a tackle and interception in Dwyer’s win.

Bret Straus 5/8 Coral Springs Charter

Straus completed 17 of 28 passes for 163 yards and a touchdown as the Panthers beat Cypress Bay. Straus also ran for 46 yards and a score.

Caden Ingram 5/8 Dwyer

The junior linebacker had eight total tackles, a sack and two tackles for losses as the Panthers beat Palm Beach Lakes.

Jaylon Tolbert 5/8 Chaminade-Madonna

Tolbert was perfect in the Lions' rout of Somerset Academy Silver Palms. He completed all seven passes he attempted, racking up 170 passing yards and two touchdowns.

Gio Thomas 5/8 Park Vista

The senior quarterback ran 12 times for 83 yards and a score and added two passing touchdowns of 24 and 56 yards as Park Vista edged Forest Hill 21-14.

Thad Franklin 5/8 Chaminade-Madonna

Franklin, a Miami Hurricanes commit, had five carries for 98 yards and a touchdown as the Lions cruised to a playoff win.

Clay Cannon 5/8 American Heritage-Delray

The sophomore running back had 10 carries for 110 yards and a touchdown in the Stallions' 42-0 playoff win over Avon Park.

Davion Gause 5/8 Chaminade-Madonna

Gause, a freshman running back, made the most of four carries on Friday, rushing for 110 yards and two touchdowns.

Kyle Boone 5/8 American Heritage-Delray

The senior linebacker had 11 tackles with a sack and returned an interception for a touchdown in the Stallions' playoff win.

Jeremiah McGill 5/8 Chaminade-Madonna

McGill, a junior cornerback, picked off a pair of passes in Chaminade’s win over Somerset Silver Palms.

Matt Galardi 5/8 Suncoast

The sophomore running back and wide receiver rushed for 80 yards rushing and a touchdown and added 100 receiving yards with a score in the Chargers' 37-2 win over Spanish River.

Miles Moss 5/8 Calvary Christian

Moss, a sophomore athlete, had a pair of rushing touchdowns in the Eagles' 50-6 playoff win over Miami Palm Glades Prep.

Will Wells 5/8 Suncoast

The senior athlete returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown, forced a fumble, and added 80 receiving yards in the Chargers' win.

Stephen Lawrence 5/8 Calvary Christian

Lawrence led the way for the Eagles' defense, picking off a pair of passes as Calvary held Palm Glades Prep to six points.

Josh Ramos 5/8 Suncoast

The sophomore quarterback was 10 for 18 for 180 yards and two scores in Suncoast’s win over Spanish River.

Tovani Mizell 5/8 Stranahan

Mizell, a freshman athlete, had eight tackles and four sacks as the Mighty Dragons beat Boyd Anderson 38-0.

Sebastian Christian 5/8 Seminole Ridge

The sophomore running back carried 11 times for 156 yards and a score in the Hawks' 38-0 victory over Royal Palm Beach.

Amariyun Knighten 5/8 Stranahan

Knighten, a junior two-way player, had five receptions for 80 yards on offense and six tackles with three pass deflections on defense.

Deion McMinns 5/8 Seminole Ridge

The senior running backed had 117 yards on 20 carries and added a score in addition to catching a 50-yard touchdown pass in Seminole Ridge’s win.

Steve Deliard 5/8 Stranahan

Deliard, a junior running back, had 12 carries for 125 yards and a touchdown as the Mighty Dragons beat Boyd Anderson.

Caleb Gregoire 5/8 Seminole Ridge

The junior safety had two interceptions in the Hawks' 38-0 victory over Royal Palm.

Byrese Berry 5/8 Stranahan

Berry, a senior linebacker, racked up 10 tackles with three sacks as the Stranahan defense shut out Boyd Anderson.

Matthew Wilson 5/8 St. John Paul II Academy

The sophomore running back carried 13 times for 61 yards and a score and added two catches for 39 yards. He also had a game-changing forced fumble as St. John Paul II Academy beat Cardinal Newman 20-3 in the Class 3A quarterfinals.

Naazir Aiken 5/8 Coral Springs

Aiken, a junior wide receiver, had seven catches for 120 receiving yards in the Colts' loss to Monarch.

Trevor Dick 5/8 St. John Paul II Academy

The senior outside linebacker had four tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery as St. John Paul II Academy beat Cardinal Newman.

Desmond Washington 5/8 Glades Central

Washington rushed for a pair of touchdowns as the Raiders beat Pahokee 38-0 in the Muck Bowl.

Matthew Wilson 5/8 St. John Paul II Academy

The sophomore running back carried 13 times for 61 yards and a score and added two catches for 39 yards. He also had a game-changing forced fumble as St. John Paul II Academy beat Cardinal Newman 20-3 in the Class 3A quarterfinals.

Paul Boucher 5/8 Boynton Beach

The senior wide receiver caught two passes for 42 yards, both touchdowns, as the Tigers beat Village Academy.

Baakari Flowers 5/8 St. John Paul II Academy

Flowers, a senior linebacker and defensive end, recorded four tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in the Eagles' win.
