Regus Center flexible workspace coming to Euclid

Jul. 2—A new flexible workspace is coming to Euclid as International Workplace Group is planning to bring a 12,000-square-foot Regus Center to the Lakeview Enterprise Campus office building at 26250 Euclid Ave.

The building was sold to its current owners in 2021 and went through renovations to upgrade to newer systems.

Wayne Berger, CEO of IWG Americas, released a statement earlier this year on the upgrades to the building.

"The location is a nine-story building with new updates daily," Berger stated. "The building is currently being entirely remodeled and when completed will feature a café, a restaurant, a gym, as well as a salon — all inside the building."

The investment in new services also came in the form of 1,740 solar panels that will be servicing the building, providing up to half of the energy demand of the campus. The project is Euclid's first Property Assessed Clean Energy development which is a city-run program that provides financial support for the initial costs of installing energy saving improvements like solar panels.

"A lot of what the city has been partnering with Lakeview Enterprise Campus on is a solar panel project," Euclid Economic Development Manager Callie Cripps said. "It's the first PACE project that Euclid has done. And they are moving forward with 1,740 new solar panels. Those are the types of green, sustainable things that attract folks like Regus.

"Entrepreneurs, young people, clean energy, and sustainability really does become a priority for how they find space," she said of IWG. "I don't think it's any coincidence that a couple months after they moved forward with this project that they are landing a Regus."

The Regus Center when completed will feature private offices and co-working spaces, virtual office spaces, high-speed internet, and new furnishings. The setup is typical of many Regus office spaces that are operated by IWG.

Opening the Regus Center in Euclid will add to IWG's current office locations in Beachwood, Cleveland City Center, and Independence.

Cripps hopes that the Regus Campus is a sign that other businesses might invest in Euclid, a city with an unemployment rate of 6.4% in August 2022 compared to Cuyahoga County's 4.8% in the same month.

"I really think this is a win for Euclid," Cripps said. "We hope that this is catalytic for other large users — to sort of take a second look at the type of amenities that we have here that obviously even other larger corporations are starting to recognize and appreciate. We are thrilled with these owners, they have really taken an approach that has really been successful, we are appreciative for them choosing Euclid and investing in our city."
