Rehm sets new Paralympic long jump world record

STORY: Jumping outdoors with spectators lining the runway, Rehm posted 28.41 feet (8.66m).

The Golden Roof challenge is an annual athletics event that takes place in Innsbruck's old town, and this weekend's event was the 18th edition.

Rehm, 33, is one of the world's best known paralympic athletes.

He lost his right leg below the knee after a wakeboarding accident when he was 14, and has won three consecutive long jump gold medals at the paralympics.

He had previously set a world record mark of 28.28 feet for the long jump at last year's European paralympic championships.
