Reigning cats and dogs: Meet the winners of the Comedy Pet Photography Awards 2021
The winners of the Comedy Pet Photography Awards 2021 have been announced and the entrants celebrate the amusing and at times questionable behaviour of our animal friends.
The Overall Winner of the competition went to a picture of a Labrador puppy with an unfortunately placed bubble over its derriere.
The winner of the cat category went to a mischievous pair of felines, with Jeff stealing the limelight from brother Jaffa as they posed for the camera.
The award for the biggest nuisance undoubtedly goes to the dog from Michigan that was pictured defecating on a fellow canine trying to enjoy its time in the park.
The awards, which held their inaugural competition in 2020, follow the success of the Comedy Wildlife Photograph Awards which have been going from strength to strength for the past seven years.
The founders of the competition say that by "sharing the positive, feel good, funny pet images, we could engage and encourage people to start support small grass roots animal welfare charities.
"Through the Comedy Pet Photo Awards, we want to promote positive awareness of animal welfare issues and celebrate the incredible and valuable contribution that pets can and do have on our lives."
