Relatives of hostages begin march from Gaza to Jerusalem

STORY: The starting point for the march was a field outside Kibbutz Re'im, near the border with the Gaza Strip, in the location where more than 350 party goers were killed or kidnapped in the Oct. 7 Hamas-led attack.

Marchers, including families, supporters and some soldiers, walked along the 232 Route, the main traffic artery of the area bordering Gaza, where Hamas gunmen ambushed and attacked motorists and passengers who were fleeing the Nova music festival and nearby communities.

The march will proceed between different Israeli towns and cities, and will conclude on Saturday (March 2) in Jerusalem, the seat of the Israeli government and parliament.
