Remembering September 11, 2001

Patriot Day on Sunday marked the 21st anniversary of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. "I am sure you can recall exactly where you were on 9/11/01 when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center in New York City and thePentagon in Virginia and when United Airlines Flight 93 was hijacked and crashed in Pennsylvania. That day changed our lives forever," shared Twinsburg Schools Superintendent Kathryn Powers in a message this past weekend. Powers noted that the district is "proud of the fact that each year our Twinsburg High School students commemorate 9/11 with a special memorial on the front lawn of the high school campus."

This year, Powers noted, the memorial was organized by senior Travis Ertel along with assistance from the following students: Tate Lowry, Sonny Scolaro, Sahil Shah, Kyle Aspinall, James D’Isadora, Ryan Mulenga, Noah Rosenthal, Evan Schneeman, Nate Grant, Connor Sterlekar, Riley Lash, Caden Casselman, Zac Galluppi, JT Hepke, Trevor Dow,Tyler Seegert, and Devin Couch.
