Reminder: Delivery changes coming to Ashland Times-Gazette

ASHLAND – About a month ago we told you about some changes coming to the Ashland Times-Gazette involving print delivery, including an e-Edition only on Mondays.

On Tuesday, May 3, print subscribers will begin receiving their daily newspaper by mail. The last day the newspaper will arrive at homes via a carrier is Monday, May 2.

A change in frequency of delivery begins May 9, when an electronic replica edition will be available online and the Monday print edition will no longer be delivered to homes.

Since our announcement, we've heard from a few readers unsure of how to access the daily replica edition via Times-Gazette.com and we've helped them link their print subscriptions online for digital access.

Some were surprised to learn that T-G subscribers have full access to our website where we publish local, state and national news, sports, weather, video and photos 24/7, with links to relevant stories, websites, Facebook pages and resources to help you better understand the news and give you direct access to additional information.

The changes that are about to happen come with a benefit that's worth repeating. Not only do T-G subscribers have access to our daily e-Edition, which is available Monday through Saturday, it includes expanded national news and sports sections seven days a week. Subscribers also can choose to read the e-Edition from any of more than 200 other newspapers in the USA TODAY Network.

Even on Sundays, when the Times-Gazette does not publish, subscribers still can read any of those 200-plus daily replica newspapers online from a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone.

Here are the answers to some common questions we've been getting.

Why is my newspaper being delivered by mail rather than carrier?

Labor shortages have impacted newspaper deliveries across the country, and this move is expected to ensure consistency in delivery for T-G subscribers.

Will I still get my newspaper every day?

Delivery of the newspaper will be at the same time as regular mail service.
