If there's no majority, the top two vote-getters will compete in a runoff May 24. Texans will be voting in new political districts. Amarillo remains in state Senate District 31. Four candidates, all Republicans, are seeking to fill the District 31 seat after longtime state Sen. Kel Seliger announced his retirement last year. They are Jesse Quackenbush, Kevin Sparks, Stormy Bradley, and Tim Reid.
Edward Heath is challenging incumbent Nancy Tanner for the Potter County Judge seat.
Voters can check if they are registered through the Texas Secretary of State's website at www.sos.state.tx.us.
In Potter County, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Election Day, at 16 sites. Voters can find out more online at www.pottercountyvotes.com.
In Randall County, 16 voting centers will also be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and voters can find out more at randallcounty.com/166/Election-Administration.
