Arizona restaurateur Sam Fox is at it again in Nashville. This time, he's slinging margs

Sam Fox, an award-winning restaurateur who has created over 100 restaurants throughout Arizona and the Southwest, is expanding his presence in Nashville, Tennessee.

Later this year, patrons will be able to walk down the stairs of Blanco Cocina + Cantina to an underground hallway that leads to a new speakeasy-inspired margarita bar.

The bar, called Pushing Daisies, is Fox's first bar and third concept in downtown Nashville. In 2021, Fox opened Blanco Cocina + Cantina and The Twelve Thirty Club (in partnership with Justin Timberlake) on Fifth Avenue and Broadway.

According to Forbes, Fox came up with the bar idea during the first phase of the pandemic.

"We noticed the number one to-go cocktail order from our restaurants was the margarita. I also took note of the fact that when we would sit out on our lawn during the lockdown days neighbors would stop by and everyone wanted a margarita. People are happy when they have a margarita. It's just that kind of drink," Fox told the news outlet.

Renowned architecture firm Smith Hanes helped design the bar, which will mirror the basement of an old Spanish casa in the heart of Mexico City, according to a press release. There will also be a stage across from the bar for DJ sets.

Besides margaritas, Pushing Daisies will offer cocktails like Carajillo – which Fox says will soon replace the espresso martini – and Poncho's Bliss, a tequila cocktail crafted with coconut milk punch and dragon fruit tea, according to the press release.

"At Pushing Daisies, we hope to celebrate tequila and friendship, two things that will always go together," Fox said in the press release.
