Andrea Bocelli, the world-famous Italian tenor, will perform with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. The Dec. 7 concert will be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, according to a release from the symphony.

The Indianapolis stop is part of Bocelli's tour across the U.S. He'll perform songs from his album "Believe," which includes arias, crossover hits, love songs and music for the holiday season.

Bocelli has become one of the most beloved tenors, delivering emotional performances during some of the world's most difficult moments. In 2001, he sang Ave Maria by the smoldering ruins at Ground Zero. When the pandemic crashed in during 2020, he sang a livestreamed Easter concert from the empty Duomo di Milano cathedral. It was viewed more than 28 million times within 24 hours.

Bocelli, who sings "Time to Say Goodbye," also is known for collaborating with stars including Ed Sheeran in "Perfect Symphony." Bocelli has won a Golden Globe and World Music Awards, among several other major awards.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 11 at gainbridgefieldhouse.com and the Gainbridge Fieldhouse box office. Customers of global investment firm Stifel, which is sponsoring Bocelli's U.S. tour, can buy tickets during a pre-sale at 10 a.m. Monday. Citi cardholders can purchase them then as well at citientertainment.com. Members of the Andrea Bocelli Fan Club can buy tickets at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
