The Miami Mansion That JLo and Ben Affleck Just Rented Has Its Own DJ Room

By now, it’s no secret that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are a couple once more, more than 17 years after they ended their engagement in January of 2004. In the weeks since they first reunited, they’ve been photographed together in Montana, California, and, more recently, Miami—where they’re renting a $130k-a-month mansion.
The waterfront abode—which was renovated in 2015 and sits on a 27,000-square-foot lot—boasts 11 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. Amenities include a private pool, jacuzzi, and spa, not to mention a dock and a boat lift, complete with scenic landscaping that makes privacy a priority.
At 10,114 square feet, this two-story home is certainly not lacking in size, and it even features 100 feet of prime water frontage. Maybe Bennifer can recreate the iconic “Jenny from the Block” music video here?
To learn more about this property, House Beautiful spoke to Manny Angelo Varas, the president and CEO of MV Group USA, which designed and built this dwelling. He reveals that the original owner of this pad was DJ Louis Puig, and he had a DJ room installed here—in addition to surround sound speakers throughout the home. Between these perfect-for-partying amenities and the home’s waterfront location, this abode is definitely “ideal for a wide array of entertaining,” says Varas.
Another design element that’s specific to this house is the “virtually invisible” staff quarters. “We created invisible hinge doors and moving wall systems in order to have staff footsteps away, but virtually invisible, combined with an automation system that allows service at a push of a button,” says Varas. Naturally, the staff quarters are impressive in their own right—this space has its own kitchen, as well as four bedrooms, which allows for up to eight full-time staff members to live here.
Plus, this property isn’t limited to just one structure—there are actually three, in total. “We created three structures in pod form which each serve its own function, but are all interconnected,” reveals Varas. “The front structure is the collector car air-conditioned garage for six cars, and storage for the water toys necessary for bayfront living.”
Additionally, we can’t forget to mention that this property also includes a guest house, as well as interior designer-approved furnishings. Best of all, given that this estate is presently available to rent, you, too, can live like Ben and Jen (Lopez, not Garner), for a cool $130,000 a month. The current owner of the mansion is jewelry designer Paul Morelli, who dropped $17.5 million on this pad in April.
