You Can Rent Sandra Bullock’s Former Hollywood Hills Home for $22,000 a Month

Sandra Bullock’s longtime Hollywood Hills home is officially up for grabs for one lucky renter. The single-story midcentury modern–style home, which Bullock owned for nearly 20 years before selling it for $2.925 million this past September, is currently available to lease for $22,000 a month, according to reports. And though the Oscar winner never actually lived in the investment property (she was renting it out for $16,500 a month before the sale), the space is definitely fit for a Hollywood star. Perched just above the Sunset Strip and celeb hot spot Chateau Marmont, it offers plenty of skylights, marble accents, and stunning design elements.

Built in 1942, the house spans 3,153 square feet and features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a home office that could easily be converted into a cozier fifth bedroom. The front foyer features a mesmerizing geometric-patterned inlaid marble floor, with a skylight that floods the space with natural light. The living room continues the marble motif with a floor-to-ceiling fireplace that dominates one wall (with a totally retro hanging bubble chair, to boot).

Elsewhere in the home is the high-ceilinged kitchen, which features a marble backsplash and countertops that contrast dramatically with the room's black drawers with brass handles and accents. A black marble built-in table attached to the kitchen’s center island comfortably seats six. The master suite is its own luxuriously decadent space, with a boutique-like bathroom that holds a deep soaking tub surrounded by black-and-white-patterned marble, a spacious walk-in closet with plenty of built-in storage, and views of the backyard beyond. One of the guest bedrooms even boasts a fun spiral staircase that leads up to its own lofted space.

Out back, the flagstone patio provides ample space for a covered lounge area, and connects to a lagoon-style pool and sunken spa, with plenty of lush trees surrounding the property. Earlier this year, Bullock made headlines when she listed her gorgeous Tybee Island beach house for $6.5 million (she'd purchased it for $1.5 million in 2001). The actress primarily divides her time between her homes in New Orleans and Austin.
