REO Speedwagon to rock Hertz Arena for first time in 11 years; tickets on sale Friday

You won't have to fight that feeling anymore: Classic rockers REO Speedwagon are playing their first Hertz Arena show in more than a decade this April.

It's one of two Florida shows the Illinois band just announced. They'll perform Wednesday, April 3, at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Saturday, April 6 at Estero's Hertz Arena.

Tickets for both shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26. Presales start at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23.

REO Speedwagon's many '80s hits include "Keep On Loving You," "Take It On The Run," "Time For Me To Fly" and "Can't Fight This Feeling."

This will be the band's first Hertz Arena show since 2013, when they played there with Styx and Ted Nugent, says Hertz Arena assistant general manager Randy Klinck.

Quirky rock act Cheap Trick opens both Florida shows. The band's Top 40 singles include “Don’t Be Cruel,” “I Want You To Want Me” and the No. 1 “The Flame.
