U.S. Rep. Dan Kildee, D-Flint Township, said Tuesday he has tested positive for COVID-19.

He said he got tested after experiencing mild cold-like symptoms and will quarantine at home the rest of the week.

"I have consulted with my doctor and am taking all necessary precautions, including isolating myself from others," Kildee said. "I am fully vaccinated and have received my booster shot, and I am thankful that my symptoms have been mild thus far as a result."

At least two other members of Michigan's U.S. House delegation, Reps. Bill Huizenga, R-Holland Township, and Tim Walberg, R-Tipton, have tested positive during the pandemic.
