Rep. David Cicilline (D-RI) on the LGBTQ+ protections in the Equality Act

On Thursday, Democratic lawmakers reintroduced the Equality Act, a bill that would amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act and other federal legislation to include protections for the LBGTQ+ community. NBC’s Joshua Johnson spoke to openly gay Congressman David Cicilline (D-RI), who has introduced a similar bill each year since 2015.
