Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) slams Govs. Desantis (R-FL) & Abbott (R-TX) for trafficking migrants to Democrat-led cities.

Representative Hakeem Jeffries, a Democrat from New York and the Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, slams Governor Ron Desantis, a Republican in Florida, and Governor Greg Abbott, a Republican in Texas, for trafficking migrants to Democrat-led cities. Recently, Governors in republican led southern states have been flying and bussing migrants to cities in the north as a political statement on the immigration crisis at the border. Governor Ron DeSantis recently flew 50 migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, without communication to the local authorities there, misleading the migrants about where they were going and what awaited them. Governor Abbott has sent over 9,000 migrants to Washington, D.C., recently sending around 100 to Vice President Kamala Harris’ residence.

JEFFRIES: “Behavior of individuals like Ron DeSantis and Greg Abbott is radical, reckless, regressive and reprehensible. They should start behaving like governors and stop behaving like human traffickers. They are putting politics over people in the most egregious way possible.”
