DENVER (KDVR) — The son of Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-Co.) was arrested on Tuesday in connection to a string of vehicle trespassing and property thefts.

According to police in Rifle, Colorado, about 68 miles northwest of Aspen, officers arrested 18-year-old Tyler Jay Boebert on Tuesday.

Officers said Tyler’s arrest follows a recent string of alleged vehicle trespassing and property thefts in Rifle.

Tyler is facing the following charges:

  • Four felony counts of criminal possession of ID documents with multiple victims

  • One felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony

  • Over 15 misdemeanor and petty offenses

Nexstar’s KDVR has reached out to Boebert’s office for a comment but has not heard back.

Tyler isn’t the only Boebert family member to have been arrested this year.

In January, Boebert’s ex-husband, Jayson, was arrested by the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest stemmed from an alleged altercation that took place at Jayson’s home on Jan. 9 and involved a family member who police said was not Lauren.

Deputies were also called on Jayson over an alleged incident between Jayson and Lauren.

In February, Boebert was granted a temporary restraining order against Jayson after she accused him of threatening to harm her and entering the family’s home without permission.

This news comes as Boebert continues her 2024 bid to continue representing Colorado in Congress. However, she decided to change districts and is now vying for the chance to represent the 4th Congressional District instead of the 3rd Congressional District.
