Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s rep has released a statement following yesterday’s breaking reports that they’ve been evicted from Frogmore Cottage by King Charles. And it looks like all the rumors are, unfortunately, true.

Speaking to Page Six, a representative for the Sussexes simply said, “We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage.”

The Sun was the first to report on the eviction, saying the decision came after the publication of Harry’s memoir, Spare. The outlet also noted that the Sussexes are currently “drawing up plans to ship their remaining belongings to the U.S.,” while an insider said, “This surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK.” Oh, and they reportedly haven’t been offered an alternative home in the UK for when they visit—meaning if they do come for King Charles’s coronation in a few months, they kinda have nowhere to stay.

So, what’s happening to Frogmore? Apparently, King Charles has offered the home to his disgraced brother Prince Andrew, who currently lives in the much larger Royal Lodge. But a source says that Andrew is “resisting the idea of moving,” even though he’s been worried about being kicked out of the Royal Lodge for a while now. In fact, back in September 2022, The Sun reported that Andrew and Sarah Ferguson feared they’d be “thrown to the wolves” in the wake of the Queen’s passing.

Anywayyy, unclear if King Charles will offer Meghan and Harry a place to stay if they come to the coronation, but kinda seems like he should!
