Northern Kentucky U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie had some harsh words for Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley after she called him the "most anti-Israel Republican."

Massie wasn't immediately available Thursday morning for comment, but he responded Wednesday night on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"I'm living in Nikki Haley's head rent-free ... and trust me, there's plenty of space in here!" Massie posted on X.

In the Republican primary debate Wednesday hosted by CNN in Des Moines, Haley slammed her GOP opponent, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, for touring Iowa with Massie.

“It’s really rich that Ron is going to act like he suddenly cares for Israel when he brought the person to Iowa that's the most anti-Israel Republican in the state, the person that went and voted against Israel's right to exist in Congress, the person that voted with ‘The Squad' against antisemitism on college campuses,” Haley said Wednesday night.  “And you brought that person to Iowa to go and campaign with you. If that’s your friend, I’d hate to see who the rest of your friends are.”

This echoed previous comments Haley has made about Northern Kentucky's congressman in the past month.

Massie endorsed DeSantis in the race and has appeared with the Florida governor or on his behalf at Iowa campaign stops.

What has Rep. Thomas Massie said about Israel?

Massie in December was the the only House Republican who voted against condemning antisemitism on university campuses. In 2022, he cast the lone 'no' vote in the House against a resolution to condemn anti-semitism.

After the 2022 vote, Massie posted on X that he felt it violated the First Amendment.

"I don’t hate anyone based on his or her ethnicity or religion," Massie posted on X. "Legitimate government exists, in part, to punish those who commit unprovoked violence against others, but government can’t legislate thought. This bill promoted internet censorship and violations of the 1st amendment."
