Report: Browns facilities closed once again for COVID-19 issues

The Browns avoided any new COVID-19 developments on Friday, a day where the team managed to get in some in-person work at the team facilities in Berea. The good fortune did not last, unfortunately.

The team has once again closed all facilities and will operate on a remote basis on Saturday after at least one more positive test for the virus, per Saturday morning reports.

From Josina Anderson, the positive test appears to involve another member of the coaching staff. Wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea tested positive earlier this week and will be replaced by chief of staff Callie Brownson, but he might not be the only coach missing on Sunday,

There is no indication the NFL will postpone Sunday’s game at FirstEnergy Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Browns have had positive tests several different times in the last two weeks, beginning with linebacker B.J. Goodson late last week. Goodson, Andrew Sendejo, Karl Joseph, Denzel Ward, Harrison Bryant and Malcolm Smith are all on the team’s reserve/COVID-19 list.
