Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Chris Holtmann is expected to hire former Miami RedHawks head coach Jack Owens as an OSU assistant, according to multiple reports Saturday via Twitter.

OSU hasn't announced the hire yet, but 247sports.com's Steve Helwagen reported that Owens was in Indianapolis to watch Taft's Rayvon Griffith and others.

Miami announced last month that the school parted ways with Owens, the RedHawks' head coach for five seasons. Miami was 14-18 overall, 8-12 in the Mid-American Conference this past season.

On Thursday, the RedHawks named former Xavier Musketeers head coach Travis Steele as their new head coach. On Friday, MU introduced Steele in Oxford as the 28th head coach in school history.

Last month, assistant Ryan Pedon left the Buckeyes' coaching staff to become the head coach at Illinois State. Tony Skinn left Holtmann's staff last week to become an assistant at Maryland.
