Report: Colts represented at Penn State pro day

The Indianapolis Colts reportedly had a representative at Penn State’s pro day Friday, getting a close look at the Nittany Lions prospects ahead of the 2023 NFL draft.

Most of the pro day talk this week surrounded three of the top quarterbacks in the class, but the Colts are still making sure they send scouts to other schools as well.

According to George Stockburger of ABC 27 News in Pennsylvania, the Colts were among the many teams at Penn State’s pro day.

There are a few intriguing names the Colts may have an eye on during the pre-draft process. The biggest name coming out of Penn State is cornerback Joey Porter Jr., the son of the former NFL linebacker.

Porter Jr. may be off the board by the time the Colts are on the clock again after their first-round pick so it’s unlikely they’ll have a chance to draft him. But his size, length and athleticism make him an intriguing prospect for cornerback-needy teams.

The other prospect to keep an eye on for the Colts is wide receiver Parker Washington. He measured in at 5-foot-10 and 204 pounds while posting a 4.49 in the 40-yard dash. He missed the final three games of the 2022 season due to an injury he suffered in November.

The Colts have just over one month left until the biggest weekend of the offseason arrives, and they’ll be hard at work putting their big board together.
