Something is going to happen with the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser site at Walt Disney World. But Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, isn’t saying what yet, according to an interview with The Points Guy website.

“No hints yet … but something will happen,” D’Amaro told Scott Mayerowitz, executive editor of The Points Guy.

Galactic Starcruiser opened in March 2022, presenting a premium two-night “Star Wars”-themed experience with plotlines, costumed characters, unusual food and drinks, lightsaber training and crowd participation. But in May 2023, Disney announced that its final virtual voyages would be taken this September.

The Starcruiser building was built specifically for the project. It stands near the cast member parking lot near Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park, which also hosts Starcruiser guests for an excursion at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

In the Points Guy interview, D’Amaro appears to roll with the Starcruiser results.

“I know not everything’s going to work. What did work, though, is we took creativity and storytelling to a completely new level, to a level that had never existed before,” he said. “It didn’t work commercially. And so, when we realized that, you just make a call and move on.”

The article also delves into D’Amaro’s thoughts about the affordability of Disney theme parks, politicians, being recognized at the parks, listening to customers and what Walt Disney might think about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
