The Atlanta Falcons moved on from several assistant coaches on Wednesday, including offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter and quarterbacks coach Greg Knapp. On Thursday, it was reported by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero that the team is expected to hire Charles London as the new quarterbacks coach.

London spent time in Tennessee in 2011 as a defensive quality control coach with the Titans, the same year that Falcons coach Arthur Smith joined the staff as an offensive quality control coach.

After a two-year stop at Penn State as the running backs coach, London held the same role for the Houston Texans from 2014-2017. In 2018, London joined the Bears as the RBs coach, where he’s been for the past three seasons.

Atlanta has already been linked to Chicago’s passing game coordinator, Dave Ragone, for the team’s offensive coordinator position. Stay tuned for more Falcons coaching updates.
