Report: Kenny Golladay ‘set to make his 2020 debut’ against Cardinals

Detroit Lions fans are waking up to some good news this morning as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the wide receiver Kenny Golladay is “set to make his 2020 debut” against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.

After a hamstring injury kept Golladay from playing the first two games of the season, he was able to get in a week’s worth of limited practices and given a questionable designation.

Golladay told reporters on Friday that he is “definitely feeling a lot better. Wouldn’t say it’s 100 percent, I really wouldn’t even put a percentage on it. I just know I’m not 100 percent. I’m going to do everything I can and hopefully, I showed enough (in practice this week) that I can be out there” on Sunday — It appears Golladay showed enough.

Returning Golladay to the field will give the Lions a nice boost on offense. Not only will he bring a deep threat and red zone option, but it will also prevent teams from being able to roll coverages towards Marvin Jones Jr, which teams have done so far this season. By keeping the defense honest, the Lions should be able to open up their attack and use their weapons more.
