The Los Angeles Lakers' battle to avoid the play-in tournament could go down to the wire, and LeBron James is almost ready to get back into action.

According to Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes, James is feeling "great" will try to return to the Lakers lineup on Tuesday when they take on the New York Knicks.

James has missed the past four games with a sore ankle — the same ankle he injured back in March, which kept him out of the lineup for 20 games. His return from that high ankle sprain on April 30 was supposed to be permanent, but after just two games James' ankle forced him to sit out again.

Haynes reported that if James isn't good to go on Tuesday, he'll try for Wednesday against the Houston Rockets.
