Report released into barbershop shooting involving BPD sergeant

The Maryland Attorney General's Office on Friday released its report into a fatal shooting a year ago involving an off-duty Baltimore police officer at a barbershop. In July, the attorney general's Independent Investigations Division completed its investigation into the Nov. 13, 2021, shooting and sent it to city prosecutors. The Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office notified the attorney general's office last month that it would not prosecute the case. According to the report, Baltimore police Sgt. David Burch was off duty and getting a haircut at Bladi Style Barbershop on O'Donnell Street.
