Report shows Jaguars ticket revenue sales on the low end of 2021 NFL season

The Jacksonville Jaguars ranked almost dead last in the NFL last season in ticket revenue, that’s according to Sportico.

With the regular season kicking off in September, Action News Jax asked residents what could be done differently.

Residents say they just want to see the Jacksonville Jaguars win more. They believe when this happens, it will put more fans in seats.

“That’s kind of bad for a team to be at the bottom of ticket sales,” says Jarrett Johnson.

Ticket revenue sales for the Jacksonville Jaguars are on the low end of the NFL.

According to reports from Sportico, the Jags ranked 30 out of 32 teams when it came to ticket revenue sales from the 2021 season.

The last ranked team is the Detroit Lions.

The top-ranked team was the Las Vegas Raiders.

According to Ticketmaster, the cheapest ticket to see the Indianapolis Colts, a divisional opponent of the Jags, is $35.

If you compare that to the Las Vegas Raiders when they play the Broncos, it’s $300.

Jarrett Johnson says that to hear this isn’t good.

“That just means not a lot of people support the Jacksonville Jaguars as a team,” says Johnson.

Last season, the Jacksonville Jaguars had a 3-14 record on the season.

We spoke with Earl Trayham about this report. He says it’s only one formula to drive those ticket revenue sales up in the future.

“I think if they start winning tickets sales will pick up,” says Trayham.

In April, Action News Jax spoke with Jaguars Senior Vice President of Sales and Services Chad Johnson.

He’s optimistic about ticket sales this upcoming season.

We’re expecting 50,000 plus season ticket holders at TIAA Bank Field.

Overall, Trayham believes despite this report, the Jags have a promising future.

“They are good for the city. The team is good for the city,” says Trayham.

The Jaguars did send a statement to Action News Jax saying, “The NFL rankings document cited by Sportico on July 19 is not distributed publicly, so we cannot comment on it directly, other than to reiterate that the Jaguars have one of the lowest average ticket prices in the NFL and our total ticket revenues reside in the bottom quartile of the league.”
