The Houston Texans reportedly interviewed Indianapolis Colts DC Matt Eberflus for their vacant head coach job on Saturday, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Despite initially declining the interview, it seems the Texans made a push to get Eberflus in the building—virtually that is. So now with the Texans on the table, there are two teams looking at Eberflus to be their next head coach.

This is three teams now that Eberflus has interviewed for. The New York Jets went with Robert Saleh over Eberflus while Brian Daboll is expected to be the next head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.

But this throws a wrinkle in the plans for Eberflus, especially after he declined the first interview last week.

There are several candidates interviewing for the Texans job to replace Bill O’Brien and interim head coach Romeo Crennel, but it seems Eberflus is firmly in the mix.

It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this and will certainly be a storyline to watch over the next few weeks.
