Report: Here are the top dog names in the U.S.
After some unusual pet names in the post-COVID years like Fauci and Pfizer, it seems Americans have returned to more common monikers for their pups as shown in the recent release of top dog names by FidoTabby Alert.

FidoTabbyAlert is a free online network that helps connect thousands of pet finders and bring lost cats or dogs home.
Together with BetterPet, they compiled a comprehensive list of popular dog names in the U.S. by gender, breed and even color.
Top dog names for males across breeds include Bear, Max, Duke, Shadow, Cooper, Oreo, Buddy, Moose, Blue and Charlie.
For female dogs, popular names include Luna, Bella, Coco, Lucy Sadie, Daisy, Bailey, Stella, Molly and Lola.
Kimber Hopkins, director of Emily's Legacy Rescue, a local nonprofit animal shelter in Wichita Falls, said that popular pet names here are Cookie, Boo, Autumn and Daisy for cats. She said she personally likes "people" names for pets. For dogs, most commonly used names include Buddy, Daisy and Belle.
By species and color — popular names for a brown and white female Yorkshire Terrier, for example, are Bella, Princess, Sophie, Luna, Coco, Daisy, Cookie and Bailey.
Names for an all-white, male Husky include Koda, Ghost, Loki, Milo, Max, Bolt, Zeus, Apollo, Bear and Blu.
The study found the top Marvel Comics-inspired name in the U.S. is Loki, top cartoon name was Scooby Doo and lead Star Wars name was Chewy.
Some fun food-inspired names for pups include Snickers, Reeses, Twix, Skittles, Meatball and Taco.
In the U.S. the most popular dog breeds are Chihuahua, Labrador Retriever, Pit Bull, German Shepherd, Shih Tzu, Yorkshire Terrier, Dachshund, Australian Shepherd, Golden Retriever and Boxer.
