Report: USC forward Isaiah Mobley invited to NBA draft combine

USC forward Isaiah Mobley has reportedly received an invitation to compete in the NBA draft combine later this month, according to Jonathan Givony of ESPN.

Mobley averaged 9.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 32 games last season with the Trojans. He turned in a remarkable run in the NCAA Tournament as USC lost in the Elite Eight, averaging 16 points and 6.5 rebounds in four appearances.

The sophomore announced in April he would test the NBA waters while maintaining his collegiate eligibility. He is currently not projected to be selected by most mock drafts but could improve his stock with a strong showing in the combine.

Of course, Isaiah is the older brother of teammate Evan, who is projected to be a top-five pick. Evan was named the Pac-12 Player of the Year after averaging 16.4 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 2.4 assists in 33 games with the Trojans.

The NBA announced in March the combine will return to Chicago and take place June 21-27. The league intends to invite around 100 prospects to take part in the draft combine and NBA G League Elite Camp, which will run June 19-21 in Chicago.

The draft is set to take place on July 29.
