Former Turkey and Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim is reportedly to take charge of Greek club Panathinaikos in succession of Ivan Jovanovic.

Turkish Reports said that Terim, 70, has agreed on a contract until 2025 but there was so far no confirmation from the Athens club on Tuesday.

Jovanovic led Panathinaikos to the 2022 Greek Cup title and the team is currently placed second in the Super League.

Terim coached Turkey over three terms, has coached abroad in Italy at Fiorentina and AC Milan, and was at the helm of Galatasaray on four occasions.

He won many titles with the Istanbul club, including a first-ever European title for a Turkish side, in the 1999-00 UEFA Cup. His last engagement there ended in January 2022.
