Representative Matt Gaetz Attends 'Free Britney' Rally in Los Angeles

Republican representative Matt Gaetz attended the “Free Britney” rally in Los Angeles, on July 14, as Spears’ conservatorship case returned to court. The singer’s request to hire her own attorney was granted on Wednesday, according to reports.

Spears appealed for an end to the conservatorship on June 23, addressing a Los Angeles judge during the case’s first hearing.

Jamie P Spears, Britney’s father, was granted control over his daughter’s personal and financial affairs in a court-ordered conservatorship in 2008, following apparently erratic behavior, including shaving her head and driving with her infant son on her lap.

This footage shows Gaetz greeting supporters outside the courthouse.
