Republican primaries today in Steuben, Allegany counties. Here's who is on the ballot.

Republican voters in seven Steuben County towns and five Allegany County towns are going to the polls today for primaries that will designate party candidates for the November general election.

Here's what you need to know for the 2023 primary elections.

Voting hours

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the Southern Tier.

Steuben County primaries

The primaries are all on the Republican side and are being held in the towns of Addison, Bath, Campbell, Caton, Rathbone, Troupsburg and Wayland.

Addison

Town Supervisor: The candidates are Jeffrey BeGell and Jack Thompson.

Town Council member: The candidates are Joseph D. Trappler, David Miller and Brandon Conklin. Vote for two.

Supervisor of Highways: The primary pits Jason M. Smith against Kenneth R. Peoples, Jr.

Bath

County legislator, District 3: The primary candidates are Dean Rawleigh and Nicholas Pelham.

Town Supervisor: Joshua Buck and Ronald C. Smith are squaring off in the primary.

Town Council member: Michael D. Walden, David Wager, William Glosick and Dustin Buck are the candidates. Vote for two.

Campbell

Town Council member: Glenn A. Vogel, James F. Drumm and Norman Maynard are the primary candidates. Vote for two.

Caton

Town Council member: The four Republican candidates are Eric M. Hurd, Emily M. Gridley, Edward J. Rose and Timothy R. Scott. Vote for two.

Rathbone

Town Supervisor: Marjorie A. Smith and Russell W. Morseman III are the candidates.

Town Clerk: The candidates are Mary E. Jacobson and Barbara A. Hargrave.

Town Council member: The four Republicans running are William J. Reagan, Eric Bump, Lanny R. Newell and Brian Wilson. Vote for two.

Superintendent of Highways: The Republican primary field includes Duane M. Miles, Dan Barney and Nathan E. McChesney.

Troupsburg

Town Supervisor: Tonya R. Tompkins and Kenneth A. LeCrone, Jr. are the candidates.

Wayland

Town Supervisor: The candidates are Carol E. Mykel and Gary Willyerd.

Town Council member: The primary features Brian Logsdon, Jackie Wheaton and Robert Reigelsperger. Vote for two.

Allegany County primaries

Five towns in Allegany County — Allen, Almond, Angelica, Friendship and Wirt — have Republican Party primaries today.

Allen

Town Council member: The candidates are Edgar J. Allen Jr., Judith A. Allen, Richard Hunt and Jeff Steadman. Vote for two.

Almond

Town Supervisor: The candidates for the GOP nomination are Jo-Anne Freeland and Daniel P. Hegarty.

Angelica

Town Council member: Donald Case, Elwyn Gordon and William C. Weaver. Vote for two.

Friendship

Town Council member: Michelle Baker, Carolyn Carney and Linda Mascho are the candidates. Vote for two.

Wirt

Town Council member: The GOP candidates are Alice Dunbar, Rob Putnam and Mike Scott. Vote for two.

Superintendent of Highways: Curtis Rung, Sr. and John Sheets are seeking the party nod.
