Republican Teri Cirbo-Rogers elected Mahaska County Auditor

Nov. 9—OSKALOOSA — Republican candidate Teri Cirbo-Rogers will serve as the new Mahaska County Auditor, according to unofficial results reported by the Mahaska County Elections Office.

Cirbo-Rogers received 70.74% of the vote for a total of 5,417 votes, while Democratic challenger Valerie Lindenman received 29.26% of the vote for a total of 2,241 votes, according to the county's election office.

Cirbo-Rogers is filling a vacancy after former county auditor Sue Brown retired earlier this year. Jody Van Patten has been serving as interim county auditor prior to the general election. Van Patten will now serve as the Mahaska County Recorder.

The Mahaska County Auditor was the only contested county seat on the ballot for Mahaska County residents.

Republicans Steven Wanders and Chuck Webb will continue to serve on the Mahaska County Board of Supervisors. Republican Connie Van Polen will continue to serve as Mahaska County Treasurer, along with Republican Andrew Ritland as Mahaska County Attorney.

Full results of the election will be updated Wednesday.
